About
About me
After a number of years in design, I left the corporate world to freelance. Over the past two years, I have seen a huge shift in design needs, away from print to online media. Immersing myself in web design, Wordpress blogs, Constant Contact html email, YouTube, Google Apps and w3schools.com, my goal is to help clients understand and navigate the digital world.
Background
Originally from Connecticut, I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design at the University of Connecticut. After graduation I moved to Colorado where I worked in aviation publications. A career twist of fate landed me in air traffic control for five years. Leaving that for motherhood for a few years, I returned to design in the 90’s. Having left it when we used rubber cement and x-acto knives, I scrambled to learn the computer, Photoshop, Quark, Illustrator. I fell head-first for the geek world and haven’t been bored since.
